Momo Quick Release Boss for Land Rover Defender
Upgrade your Defender’s steering with the Momo quick release boss, precision-engineered to aerospace standards and finished with hard anodising for maximum durability. Designed to fit Momo steering wheels or any wheel with 6 holes on a 70mm PCD, this Defender quick release steering wheel solution provides both convenience and added security.
Available in 36-spline and 48-spline variants, the Optimill Defender quick release boss ensures compatibility with all Defender models, including DSC-equipped (2015-on) and non-DSC vehicles. The 48-spline version retains full indicator cancellation functionality for complete usability.

- Aerospace-grade manufacturing with hard anodised finish
- Quick release design with two spring-loaded locking pins for easy steering wheel removal
- Available in 36-spline or 48-spline for all Defender models
- Supplied with black centre finishing cap and M5 x20 socket bolts (x6)
- Compatible with Momo steering wheels (Momo quick release steering wheel only; not compatible with Mountney Sports, factory-fitted Defender, or Moto-Lita wheels)
- Recommended for use with Optimill swivel lock for enhanced security
Will the Momo Quick Release Boss fit my steering wheel?
The boss is designed to fit Momo steering wheels, or wheels with 6 holes on a 70mm PCD (note this boss will not fit Mountney Sports steering wheels Britpart codes DA4650 & DA4654).
The Momo Quick-Release Boss is not compatible with any of the factory-fitted Defender steering wheels or the Moto Lita steering wheel. We offer the Moto-Lita version here.
Will the Momo Quick Release Boss fit my Defender?
The Momo Quick Release Boss is available in 36-spline and 48-spline variants that cover every model of Defender. The 48-spline Quick-Release boss has been designed to fit both DSC equipped (2015-on) Defender models and the non DSC models. All models retain the indicator cancellation function.
