The MUD Defender Centre Console solves the problem of where to mount those extra switches and gauges in the Defender dashboard without having to resort to a homemade DIY dashboard.
The MUD Console fits Defenders from 1983 through to 2001. Note the MUD Console will not fit the post 2001 Td5 Console (easily identified by a row of 7 switches along the top of a similar looking console).
The MUD Console will fit both Right Hand Drive and Left Hand Drive Defenders.
The MUD Defender Console is supplied as a blank moulding to provide the user with the flexibility to create their own unique dash layout that best satisfies their requirements.
We now offer a different version of the console aimed at customers trying to replicate the later 'Td5 Defender' console in their pre 2001 Defender. Click here for more information.
Each MUD Console comes complete with a steel mounting frame including end-plates, all fixings required and an easy-to-follow fully illustrated step-by-step fitting guide.
Note: Earlier versions of the console had a recessed 'oval' in the top right hand corner of the console in order to fit a Land Rover badge. You will see this version pictured on this page. Be aware the current version is as pictured above without the recess for the badge. You can of course still fit the badge if you so wish.
